Yes, they are the number one band on our chart, but why. Well, they released their debut album Welcome To Wastleland on August 24th, and announced a major tour with Smashing Pumpkins on the same day. The band plays straight '80's style hair metal and are quite proud. Signed to Atlantic Records, Bad City proves that arena rock lives.
Currently at work on a new album, the only track released thus far is “Lost in the Dark” (Demo). Though the title may represent a necessary step in any major change, the band continues to come across as fearless. One song may be too small of a sample size to go on, but based on the beautifully ghost-like vocal melodies backed by dreamy and swelling instrumentation, one gets the sense that the band is in fact further developing an already great sound. - PJD
These days Hidden Hospitals are anything but while they the kick the promotion for their debut ep "EP 001" in overdrive. The band, containing former members of Damiera and Kiss Kiss, brings a crisp and effective brand of rock oozing with blaring guitars and driving baselines. The band's first single "Swan Dive" is a soaring anthem that has turned more than a few heads. The four piece band is guided by the wide range in the vocals of David Raymond. His vocals shift effortlessly from hush swoon to forcefully scream through the ep. For a band that only played their first live show in September of last year, EP 001 is an extremely polished effort.
