In Tall Buildings "Warm Rock"

I know SXSW is about to get under way, but that also means Record Store Day is just around the corner. In Tall Buildings, who will be performing 3 SXSW shows, have announced a 7-inch record to be released on record store day. The single will contain a cover of Cains and Abels' track "Warm Rock” and the B-side includes an alternate, “bedroom-pop” version of the band's track “The Way To A Monster’s Lair.” The band is working on the following to last year's self-titled debut album.

In Tall Buildings will be performing at Lincoln Hall on April 9th, and will do an in-store performance at Saki on Record Store Day, April 16th.

Rockie Fresh "So Gone"

Rockie Fresh has released a video of him unveiling a new track called "So Good" (ft. Lil B.) in front of a hyped hometown crowd. The track will be the first in a series of leaks for Rockie's upcoming project, "The Otherside Redux" which will feature a collection of remixes from the initial "Otherside" release and some never-before-heard bonus tracks.

How to Dress Well @ Empty Bottle

Tom Krell is a musician living here in Chicago that really is not getting the local attention he deserves. As How To Dress Well he saw his debut LP Love Remains released in the US by Lefse Records and around the world by Tri Angle Records back in January. He combines eighties synth with a love for R&B, and a expiremental nature to make some very creative and interesting music.

He recently posted a cover of R. Kelly's "I Wish", and he will be DJing @ Empty Bottle on March 15th which is also the night Salem is performing.

Pet Peeve @ Quenchers

Our band of the month, Pet Peeve, will be performing at Quenchers this Saturday with Thin Man. The show is free, but the are accepting $5 donations. The band will also be performing live today at 5pm on WRBC The Blaze which is the internet radio station of Roosevelt University. You can stream the audio through the website or through iTunes.

The band's bedut album An Attic Abroad turns one this month and you can stream it on the band's website.
