American Football

American Football has released a video for their single “Home Is Where The Haunt Is”. The track comes form their latest LP, American Football (LP2).

The band performed at this year’s Pitchfork Fest and will be performing an aftershow at Empty Bottle tonight, July 16th.

American Football has released a second single, "Give me The Gun", from their forthcoming self-titled sophomore album. The album is due out on October 21st via Polyvinyl.

American Football will be celebrating the album's release on October 29th at The Vic with Low and Joan of Arc.

American Football

American Football released the first single, "I've Been So Lost For So Long", from their forthcoming self-titled sophomore album. The album, the first in seventeen years, will be released on October 21st via Polyvinyl. This is one of the seminal Chicago band's and it's members, Steve Holmes (guitar), Mike Kinsella (vocals, guitar), Nate Kinsella (bass), and Steve Lamos (drums, trumpet), have spawned many other project over the last nearly two decades.

American Football will celebrate the album's release at The Vic on October 29th.

American Football "Never Meant"

The deluxe reissue of American Football's 1999 self-titled debut album was release on May 20th and debuted at #68 on Billboard's 200 Charts. The band has released a nostalgic video for the classic track "Never Meant".

American Football Reunion

The late '90's trio American Football (Mike Kinsella (Cap'n Jazz, Owen, Owls), Steve Lamos, and Steve Holmes) are coming back together for two reunion shows. The first show will be on Sept. 28th at The Pygmalion Fest down in Champaign IL. The second show will be in NYC at Webster Hall on Oct. 11th. Tickets for both shows go on sale this Friday, April 25th.

The reunion will take place after the Polyvinyl reissue of the bands 1999 self-titled album on May 20th. This will be a deluxe relese on 2xLP, 2XCD, cassette, and digitally. The reissue features an album's worth of rare live recordings, demos, and practice sessions.
